Children of migrant construction workers often experience severe disruptions to their education due to constant relocations, lack of official documentation, and absence of stable accommodation. these children find themselves excluded from government schools and deprived of academic continuity due to lack of paperwork, shifting job locations, and temporary living arrangements. Despite the Right to Education Act, many of these children are excluded from formal schooling, leading to gaps in literacy, lack of structure, and diminished opportunities for growth. These children grow up in makeshift housing clusters, vulnerable both educationally and socially, and face barriers that traditional schooling cannot address on its own.
The Savera Site School is the flagship educational initiative of Vidhyabharti Foundation, dedicated to transforming the lives of migrant children who are most vulnerable to educational exclusion. Through this pioneering program, our objectives are:
To create a safe, nurturing and holistic learning space where children learn and develop, Giving working parents peace of mind.
To introduce basic literacy, numeracy, discipline, hygiene, and structure—preparing children for eventual integration into mainstream education.
To build confidence, life skills, and positive social behavior, empowering children to participate fully in society.
Savera Site School operates as a full-day, structured preschool and learning center for children aged 01–15, open from 9:30 AM–5:00 PM daily. It offers:

we serve the invisible children—those whose childhoods are hidden beneath layers of dust and ragged clothes, whose education never began or was abruptly interrupted. These are the children of migrant construction workers, many of whom have never stepped into a formal classroom.
Our center operates near active construction zones. Recently we are working in Pipan village, Sanand Taluka, Ahmedabad district, Gujarat,
As of 2024-25, the Savera Site School enrolled 29 children (19 girls, 10 boys), demonstrating increased trust from parents and strong gender equity. Regular engagement, health support, and innovative learning have resulted in significant improvements in literacy and numeracy skills for these vulnerable children. The school has become a replicable model, showing that with dedicated community partnerships, educational inequity can be addressed meaningfully and at scale.
Out of 29 children, we are succeed to enroll a student in the near by Government school.
